Liverpool, England
Liverpool have established a record of consistency as they are into their third consecutive Capital One Final. The Reds overpowered Reading 7-1 on aggregate to advance to a Merseyside derby as they take on Everton in the final.
The Reds have also secured a place in the next round of the F.A. Cup with a tidy 4-0 win over Peterborough United in the 4th Round.

Another good series of results for us. If we keep putting wins in the bank I am confident that we will have a chance towards the end of the season. Chelsea will start feeling the pressure with us hot on their heels, and if we get the win in our match against them, all bets are off.
Blow by Blow
Premier League – Match 20/38
A visit to Stoke City is next on the dance card. I am not worried about the league. all I can do is try to keep winning games and see what happens.
We have been forced to make a few changes to keep players fresh. I made a mistake when picking “Mo” over “Goose”.
Another nice victory keeps us in the hunt for the title. One step at a time.
Team News
“Stipe” is a star in the making and it makes sense to sign him to a long deal.
Premier League – Match 21/38
Sheffield United are our next visitors at Anfield. One foot in front of the other, one game at a time.
No chances taken with this line-up. We need to score early to take the pressure off the boys.
We made it hard on ourselves. We controlled the match but couldn’t but the game to bed until very late. In the end we got the win we wanted.
Capital One Cup – Semi-final – Leg 2
We have a three goal lead following the first leg. We just need to match them goal for goal to advance.
They have changed things up a little. I will have to watch how things develop. We can match them if need be.
We put in a good performance and added to our first leg lead. In the end we won with a comfortable lead.
Capital One Final Draw
A Merseyside Derby awaits us in the final. It seems fitting, doesn’t it.
F.A. Cup – 4th Round
This game should be a comfortable win for us. I won’t take things for granted, but I have to rest my first team players.
A mixture of youth and experience has been selected for this game. I am confident that we have enough tallent to advance.
A good win for the lads. We did what we needed to do to advance.
Injury Update
“Stipe” is out for a week. He probably was being rested anyhow so no real problem.
Results Summary
Four wins from four matches. Four clean sheets to boot.
League Table
We hold second place on goal difference but have two games in hand. That still leaves us a point shy of Chelsea. Could we hav the misfortune of going undefeated and not win the title?
Next Episode
We have four league matches to navigate as we start the run in to the season end.
