156: Arsenal knock out Liverpool

23 February 2027
Liverpool, England

The Arsenal curse in cups continued as Arsenal knocked out Liverpool for the fourth time in four meetings. Mr BadDragon looked shell shocked after the match as he watch his side come out distinctly best.

This disappointment has been tempered by another strong showing in the League. Liverpool are sitting pretty in second place with 10 matches to play.

I don’t want to discuss Arsenal. End of story! Moving along! We are sitting pretty in the Champions League with a whopping five away goals against Juventus. I am happy!

Blow by Blow

Premier League – Match 27/38

It doesn’t get any easier as we are away at Old Trafford in a must win game.

“Halo” is preferred to “Den” to replace “C.K.” while “C.K” rests up.  “Benny Jets” scares me!

Well we got there despite Manchester United bossing the match. It took an error by their keeper in the 92nd minute for us to snatch a draw.

F.A. Cup – Fifth Round

Away at Arsenal trying to break the curse of the the Arsenal cup ties.

“Trickles” is replaced by “C.K.” and “Tan” by “Volkan”. “K.A.A.” is on the bench.

Well we were battered. We hung in there but gave away two quick goals after the half, and just couldn’t get back into the game.

Champions League – 1st Knockout Round – Leg 1

Next up we are away in Turin where we take on the mighty Juventus.  After the disappointing performance against Arsenal the team needs to bounce back with a win.

Neither “C.K” nor “The Greek” are eligible for Champions League football this season, so “Sim” and “K.A.A.” return to the lineup.

Well this result was unexpected. After the poor showing against Arsenal we turned on a top-notch performance as we put five away goals past Juventus.

Champions League Results

Anderlecht did what  we couldn’t and beat Arsenal while united and Barcelona Drew.

In the second set of matches we saw away goals galore.

Premier League – Match 28/38

The final match of the episode sees us come up against Aston Villa who are sitting in the relegation zone.

“C.K.” and “The Greek” return while “K.A.A.” goes on holiday to get fitness back.

We put in a good shift and ran out deserved winners. Another hat-trick for “Hero” as well.

Results Summary

A mixed bag of results, however the draw against United has allowed Chelsea to pull away again.

League Table

We have second spot by right now. If we keep winning then we could improve on last season.

Next Episode

Arsenal and Juventus again, then easier matches against Wigan and Norwich.
