Mr BadDragon has led his Anderlecht side to an unprecedented series of results which have culimnated in Anderlecht reaching the Champions League final for the first time in their 117 year history.

The Paars-wit have swept all before them including such giants as Bayern Munchen, Defending champions Porto, and Spanish Giants  Real Madrid. All that stands in their way is English giant Chelsea.

What can I say. I am so proud of how the lads have played, and can honestly say that we deserve our place in the final. Anyhow enough of the platitudes. Sit back and see how things unfolded.

Champions League – Quarter Final – Leg 2

Well here we are on the cusp of a semi final. An away goal will settle the nerves, although even at our worst I can’t see us shipping seven.

I am not taking any chances, so have gone with a full strength side once more.

Not the best game we have ever played, but it got the job done. We get past the quarter final for the first time!

PSG get through against Lazio with a solid display.

Chelsea overcome Manchester City, and Dortmund couldn’t do enough to overcome Real Madrid.

Champions League Draw

Chelsea get PSV while we get Real Madrid. The dream is still alive.

Jupiler Pro League – Champions Group – Match 4/10

Back to the league and another game in the journey. Standard de Liege are battling for third place and will not be push-overs.

A full rotation for this match, with the exception of “The Greek”. “Jarhead” gets a start, as does “Vert”. “Baby Face” is not ready to play so sits this game out.

Mission accomplished as we do enough for all three points.

Champions League – Semi Final – Leg 1

This will be a tough game for us. Real Madrid will be sour after we man-handled them last season. Can we repeat this feat today?

The same line-up from the last home game against Porto.

We got there but at what cost. “Trickles” will be missing after collecting two yellow cards, while cup is out for 3 weeks with a groin strain.

Injury Update

“Cup” will be out for the rematch which is slightly annoying.

Just confirming our fine result.

PSG gets the home win, however Chelsea gets the away goal.

Jupiler Pro League – Champions Group – Match 5/10

This game is a slight distraction from the task in hand. We have to get past this and focus on the second leg of the cup.

“Andre” and “Trickles” back up as both are suspended for the Champions League Semi Final.

Not the greatest result in the world. We played fairly poorly and although we dominated the game in terms of posession we were at times second best in chances created.

Champions League – Semi Final – Leg 2

We have the first leg advantage and should we score an away goal then they would need to score four. It won’t be easy and they will come at us hard.

“Doctor” and “Flavio” are in for the suspended “Trickles” and Andre, while “Karioke” takes the place of the injured “Cup”.

Boy was I right. They totally pounded us after 20 minutes neither side had had a shot, but they had 72% posession. In the end the game and tie was decided by a silly challenge which gave us a penalty. “Benny Jets” calmly slotted it home and we went on to keep yet another clean sheet.

Chelsea showed that a first leg deficit doesn’t matter if you score four!

We kept another clean sheet and so will face Chelsea in the final.

Injury Update

“Alex” picked up a small knock which will keep him out for a couple of weeks. Not a bad thing as we have a month until the Champions League final.
