Anderlecht, Belgium
Anderlecht continued their relentless advance towards both title and cup glory. There seems little that other teams can do to halt their progress, and their victory seems a foregone conclusion.

Ok. So we are top of the league, and ahead in the Cup Semi Final. That doesn’t mean that we are going to automatically win everything. We haven’t looked all that convincing over the past few weeks and we need to focus to continue to play well.
Blow by Blow
Team of the Year
Eight first team members and three substitutes in the team of the year. A fantastic result.
Team News
“Kess” gets the reward for a fine career at the club with a testimonial. A fitting reward for his service.
“Flavio” has come on exceptionally well in the past six months and is putting real pressure on “Andre” for the left back slot.
Transfer News
Alberto has fallen down the pecking order and wanted to leave anyhow. In the end no club would buy him so he goes out on a Bosman.
Cofidis Cup – Quarter Final – Leg 2
We have the two goal lead and are fielding a first choice side. I am quietly confident that we will advance.
“Baby Face” is on the bench in the first game he is eligible to play in. I am sure he will get some minutes.
Well it wasn’t pretty. We did what we had to do for the win to take us through to the next round.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 21/30
Off we go to Lommel for yet another league clash. We haven’t been hitting our straps lately and need to improve.
Only one change with “Flavio” starting at left back. “Lembie” and “Andre” come onto the bench.
Our performances have dropped off lately and we have been struggling to put teams away. This was yet another example of this.
Career Milestone
Jupiler Pro League – Match 22/30
Last time out against this side we scraped a 1-0 win. We need to improve and look to get our form in front of goal back.
“Baby Face” gets his first start along side “Benny Jets”, while “Andre” and “Rommel” replace “James” and “Flavio”.
Another win which lacked conviction. We were good in pars without being great. The one shining light is how solid our defence has been, although that was Mechelen’s 5th game without scoring in a row.
Cofidis Cup – Semi Final – Leg 1
The Cofidis Cup Semi Final sees us drawn against Club Brugge.
We make a couple of changes with “Benny Jets” and “C.K.” rested. “Lembi” and “Goose” come into the starting line-up. “Baby Face” is still looking for his first goal for the club.
“Baby Face” scored his first goal for the club, and also bagged a hat-trick of goals from offside positions. They missed a sitter towards the end however the game was in the bag by then.
Injury Update
“Goose” gets a week off with a gashed leg.
Results Summary
Another solid month for us. We never quite looked at our best, but did what was needed for the wins.
League Table
13 points clear with 8 games to play is a good position to be in.
Next Episode
Next episode sees up taking on a series of lower middle table opponents in what should be another four wins.
