Anderlecht, Belgium
As expected, Anderlecht left themselves too much to do in the return leg and bow out of the competition at the quarter final stage. BadDragon’s boys must be regretting their woeful performance in the first leg.
In the end they left themselves too much to do, and while they salvaged some pride, it was ultimately all for nothing.

Well four goals was too many to pull back. We played better this time out, and showed that we have the potential to go deep in this competition next time around.
Blow by Blow
Champions League – Quarter Final – Leg 2
We have a point to prove after our poor showing last time out.
The fact we need to keep a clean sheet and score five goals to advance means the tie is all but over.
We make a couple of changes to the line-up. The goal is to get a win, even if we go out.
We had our chances to get back in it. We failed to take them however, and slide out on the back of a poor away result.
Injury Update
An injury but only minor. I have enough depth in the midfield to survive for a week or so.
Jupiler Pro League – Champions Group – Match 4/10
Now that the Champions League is out of the way, we can focus on winning the title. R. Standard de Liege are currently in 3rd place and have a game in hand. A win is important for us today.
“Trickles” injured and “Doctor” suspended force a reshuffle in midfield. “Westie” and “Lembi” come back up top.
We made hard work of this game. “Benny Jets” has been finding goals hard to come by, and we owed the draw to “Andre” who scored his first goal for the season.
Luckily Genk also drew so we haven’t lost any ground to them.
Jupiler Pro League – Champions Group – Match 5/10
Lokeren are in the position of making up numbers. We need to beat them to keep the title push alive.
A few rotations are made in the interest of keeping the players fresh and fit. “Benny Jets” gets dropped to the bench due to him having struggled to score of late.
It took two goals in the last five minutes to scramble a win, but scramble we did! The end is in sight, with us needing eight points from five games to secure the title.
Jupiler Pro League – Champions Group – Match 6/10
Eight points needed from five games. We could actually draw every game and still win! Lets win this and put us close.
A more solid midfield line-up returns for this match.
Mission Accomplished! Genk won, so we still need six points from four games to secure the title.
Injury Update
“Lembi” has been a top performer and will be missed. We do have a good performer in “Mookee” so it is not a total loss.
Results Summary
A good return this episode which sees us on the cusp of the title.
League Table
Ten points clear with four to play. One win should be sufficient.
Next Episode
Genk is up next, and a victory to us will mean we win the league. Simple.
