Anderlecht, Belgium
Anderlecht had only themselves to blame as they scraped though to a scrappy 2-2 result against less fancied Kayserispor. Both legs finished 2-0 to the home side and it was only the coolness of the Anderlecht players that allowed them to advance on penalties.
Fans are concerned that this is an early sign that Mr BadDragon is out of his depth in the big time.

Well we got there, but only just! I honestly thought that we were done for following the late second goal we gave away at Kayserispor. Luckily we did enough at home to force penalties and we were better at finishing them.
Still it was a near run thing and was way closer than I ever wanted it to be. However we are through, and at the end of the day that is all that matters.
Blow by Blow
New Season, New Team
Another opening, another show! This time I could stay a while.
Supercup van Belgie
The media are picking a close game. I tend to believe them. The team is not even close to fluent in the tactics employed, and has some new players in key positions.
I have put out what I consider to be my strongest side. Due to the rules on foreign players The bench is slightly weaker than I would like.
A good result. Young “Ngobeni” proved his worth with two goals on debut.
Transfer News
“El Am” was never going to get much game time, and the offer was too good to turn down. So I didn’t.
Champions League Best Placed Qualifier 3 Leg 1
We are favourites to win this match, however anything can happen.
I’m sticking with the same side from the super cup with a couple of changes on the bench.
To say we were disappointing is an understatement. We controlled large portions of the game however our combinations were off.
The second goal in stoppage time was a killer blow and we will have to play well in the return match to progress.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 1/30
After our poor showing in the Champions League we have to play much better his time out.
Extensive rotation to freshen up some players for the Champions League re-match. I can afford to drop the opener if it means we get through to the next round.
Well this was unexpected. We played particularly well. I changed “Munster” to wing and he put in a dominant performance.
Injury Update
Youngster “King Louis” is out for 4 weeks with a twisted ankle. Only backup so we will get by without him.
Club News
Almost 25000 season tickets sold is a good number. I hope we can manage to keep them happy.
Transfer News
“Coxie” was the teams first choice keeper. With the arrival of “The Greek” and the requirement that we have to have six Belgium trained players in the match squad he would get no game time and would quickly become unhappy. Better to part company now and get max value.
Champions League Best Placed Qualifier 3 Leg 2
Potentially our biggest match of the season. We have to get out there and take control of the game, and above all else keep a clean sheet.
We field the same starting eleven as the loss in the hope that they can perform better. “Munster” is on alert 5 should a change be needed.
We got there, but boy did we make hard work of it. I think that the issue was partly my fault with some less than optimal adjustments and decisions. Still we are through to the next round.
In the end it took penalties to decide the tie.
Champions League Draw
Well we get Valencia. That will be fun. Once again we are on the road first so hopefully we can manage to bring back at least one away goal.
The full draw. As you can see there were no easy games.
Results Summary
There you have the first four results. Three wins and a loss is not bad.
League Table
We sit on top but with 29 games to play it is still early doors in the league.
Next Episode
Three league games and the first leg of the champions league play-off.
