31 May 2031
Vercelli, Italy

Pro Vercelli will be playing their football in Serie A next season having added another trophy to their cabinet. Mr BadDragon has inspired a renaissance at Silvio Paola, resulting in a solid cup run and a league title.

We are getting to the crunch time. We have four games to play, and while our destiny is in our hands, we have a lot to do.

Serie B Match 39/42 v Bologna

First obstacle is Bologna. They have fallen down the pecking order but still will be a tough nut to crack. Last time they whipped us 3-1 so revenge is in order.

One change sees “Zo” replace “Vags” in the starting lineup. “Delle” is on international duty and so “Eddie” is called up to the bench.

“Zo” justifies his selection with a well taken early goal. It’s the perfect start to the match, but we’ve been here before.

“Curlz” doubles the lead and I start to breathe a little easier. The pressure goes back on Catania now.

We are not a side to do things the easy way. Just on the break we concede yet another goal from a corner, and both us and Catania go into half-time up 2-1.

“Curlz” bags his second goal of the game and we regain our two goal cushion. I can start to breathe a little easier now.

“Zo” bags his second and our fourth goal to extend our lead. all eyes turn to the Catania game which they lead 2-1

We give a goal back following a great free-kick. With only a couple of minutes to go I’m not to worried about this as we can’t be caught from here.

Another game, another win. Three games to go, seven points needed for the title.

Another game which we dominated. Our lack of hitting the target and giving up soft goals is a worry.

Serie B Match 40/42 v Genoa

Relegation candidate Genoa are our next opponent. They are a place above relegation but with way less losses that the other sides. Their crime appears to be too many draws.

A whole slew of changes due to fixture congestion. Youngster “Armadillo” is the big call to replace “Macho”.

“Roto” has a great chance to bag goal number 30 however the keeper denies his effort. “Lapo” is on hand to put away the rebound and give us the lead.

“Curlz” makes it 2-0 with a deft chip, and brings up 15 goals for the season for him. This is the final action before the half, and we take a solid lead into the break.

A second strike for “Curlz” makes the lead comfortable and puts us in control of the match.

If there was any doubt about how the match will end up, “Vags” 13th goal of the season all but locks the points away.

Our fifth goal comes by way of “Vags”, his second for the match and 14th for the season.

“Vags” completes his hat-trick in 20 minutes with his 15th goal of the season. All were lovely efforts, including this from “downtown”.

“Curlz” gets his hat-trick with time almost up. Youngster “Eddie” bags a hat-trick of assists, and we make it a whopping thrashing!

We were playing the Friday game and this win means we are six points clear. That can only put more pressure on Catania as they sit at home watching this result.

This result also saw us break a record set by SPAL of goals in a season. We have scored 102, extending the lead by seven goals with two games to play.

Well that was a surprise! It’s amazing what a little pressure can do. This means we only need a point from the last two games to clinch the title! If Catania don’t get two wins its over as well, and we are ahead on tie breakers so the title is effectively ours.

Serie B Match 41/42 v Giulianova

This is the biggest game of the season. A win here, or even a draw will see us crowned champions with a game to play.

I go with a strong side, with “Degi” the one compromise as it would be fitting to have him on the pitch when we secure promotion.

“Vags” opens the scoring with a lovely strike. Catania were 3-0 up against Pontedera after only 13 minutes but it may be for nothing!

“Roto” bags his first goal in a while, and 30th goal of the season. Half-time sees us ahead by two goals and with a hand on the trophy! No goals in the second half, but it doesn’t matter!

We are the champions!!!!! I really can’t believe it! I knew I had put together a good side, and was looking to secure a play-off spot.

Not much else to say. We came, we saw, we kicked their butts!

It is also great to keep the fans happy. I’m happy… lets all have a party!

Serie B Match 42/42 v Renate

Final game is against relegation threatened Renate. As much as I don’t want to send them down, I want to finish with a win.

Only one change to the starting side. “Stefotto” is on for “Degi”. I am not going to give away cheap caps despite the league being in the bag.

“Curlz” delivers his 18th goal of the season. He has been on a real hot streak these past few games.

The game goes end to end with clear chances to both sides. In the end it is “Roto” who doubles our lead and bags his 31st goal of the season.

“Curlz” picks up goal number 19 as he dribbles the ball into the net.”Lapo” collects is 11th assist for the season.

The game has been close, with Renate creating a lot of chances. In the end it is Cavicchia who bags a deserved goal for them. That was the final chance of the game and the season.

A good result and a great end to what has been a fantastic season.

Another solid performance in which we dominated the stats, missed chances, and failed to keep a clean sheet. Sums up the season.

Results

Four wins from four games was a fantastic way to round out the season.
