208: Liverpool crash out of cup

25 February 2030
Liverpool, England

High flying Norwich City upset the mighty Reds in “The Battle of the Birds” at Carrow Road. The Canaries always looked the better side as their more fancied visitors never looked like winning. The result sees Liverpool exit the F.A.Cup early for the fourth time under BadDragon. This will surely be a bitter pill for him to swallow.

In the League, the Liverpool side have overtaken Chelsea and now have a four point gap at the top.

I was hoping that we could win everything this season. Sadly this is not to be. Full marks to the Norwich Boys who played well.

I have decided that this season is my last at Liverpool. While I am enjoying the squad I have built, and we are winning, five years is a long time and I need a new challenge.

Blow by Blow

Premier League – Match 26/38

C07S05-291

Swansea City have been performing well and sit mid table. The plan remains the same. Beat anybody who is in front of us.

C07S05-292

I’m not a fan of facing this formation. I have had to rest a number of players however I have confidence in the team selected to get a result.

C07S05-293

We made it hard for ourselves. All I can say is I’m glad that one is over. We got the win despite ourselves, while Chelsea were held to a draw by West Brom.

Injury Update

C07S05-297

“Ingvar” is out for three weeks which will leave a hole in our rotation. Only three weeks so not that bad.

F.A. Cup – 5th Round

C07S05-295

The F.A. Cup is another competition which we have under achieved at. It was on my list of competitions I wanted to win, however the League defence is edging that now.

C07S05-296

We have fielded a slightly weaker side here as some of our first choice players are struggling for fitness.

C07S05-298

Well this was disappointing. We always looked second best and the result was a fair one in the end. Still this is one less series of matches we have to play.

Injury Update

C07S05-299

Adding injury to insult we lose “Oos” for almost the remainder of the campaign. He may be back in  late May however we will have to do without him till then.

Premier League – Match 27/38

C07S05-301

Following our disappointing result against Norwich we have to go play West Brom in our catch up game. We need to bounce back with a win.

C07S05-302

After the last performance we come out with a strong lineup. One surprise is the return of “Trickles” in the midfield.

C07S05-304

We got the win, but had to do it hard. Very hard. The win puts us four points clear with eleven games to go.

C07S05-305

Champions League Results

C07S05-303

Real Madrid overwhelmed Dortmund and Milan edged Schalke.

C07S05-306

Narrow wins to Chelsea and Manchester United.

Premier League – Match 28/38

C07S05-307

The Arsenal game indicates that we have reached crunch time in the league.

C07S05-308

“Stipe” and “Ni Cole” come in at the back while “Halo” comes into the midfield.

C07S05-309

Another tick in the win column which allows us to remain at least four points clear.

C07S05-310

Team News

C07S05-311

An impressive record. 35 wins and 7 draws.

Results Summary

C07S05-312

A good fun if you ignore the disappointing loss in the F.A.Cup.
