205: Liverpool still unbeaten

14 January 2030
Liverpool, England

Liverpool have managed to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League, yet find them selves in third place. Even if they win their games in hand the Reds will still be a point behind league leaders Chelsea.

They are still alive in both cups, having taken a commanding lead in the Capital One Cup Semi-final first leg.

Well we are keeping the pressure on the opposition, and are alive in all competitions. At this rate we could win a haul of seven trophies this season.

Liverpool players finished 2nd and 3rd this year.

Premier League – Match 18/38

I plan on hitting Fulham hard, and then easing off in F.A. Cup and Capital One Cup. The League is my priority at the moment.

As promised a top lineup takes the field. “K.A.A.” is being rested.

We were not on song today and gave up a key goal with seconds left. I ripped the team a new one  after this as it cost us a chance to get ahead in the league.

F.A. Cup – 3rd Round

Brentford are up next in the F.A.Cup. A match we should win comfortably.

I have fielded a fairly heavily rotated side for this contest. 15 year old “Cano” gets a chance to show what he can do.

“Hero” and “Oos” put in good performances as we coasted to a comfortable 5-0 victory.

F.A. Cup 4th Round Draw

This should be another easy game for us. Given the fixture congestion I am glad this is the case.

Team News

“Goose” gets locked down to a good deal which will keep him at the club for another four seasons.

Capital One Cup – Semi-Final – Leg 1

I wasn’t quite expecting to be here. That being said now that I am, we really have to win the tie and get into the final.

We have Manchester City three days after this match, so I have fielded a side I hope will be able to at least take a point against Reading. We just have to be in striking distance for the return leg.

Well I never expected to almost decide the tie today.  I can’t see them getting back into it from here.

Premier League – Match 19/38

It seems that every league game is a must win game. This one will be a tough match as Manchester City are in good form.

This is my best side at the moment. Having dropped points at Fulham, we need to pick things up against Manchester City.

A fine result gives us the win. That is 33 games undefeated in the league for us.

Results Summary

That draw at Fulham may come back to haunt us.

League Table

The bunch at the top may be starting to pull away slightly. All we can do is keep battling.
