198: Liverpool win Super Cup

23 September 2029
Liverpool, England

High-flying Liverpool Manager, Mr BadDragon, added another trophy to the Anfield Trophy Cabinet with a win in the UEFA Super Cup. The Reds overcame a spirited challenge from Europa League Champions Schalke by the odd goal in five, in what was a free flowing affair.

The Reds didn’t get things all their own way as the slumped to a disappoint 2-0 defeat at the hands of Dortmund in the opening match of the Champions League. The defending champions were played off the park and will have to improve if they wish to have any chance of defending their title.

This Super Cup victory was a good result for us however it was tempered by a decidedly poor showing in the Champions League. It was had to work out what was the cause. The whole team had a shocking game. I guess it was just one of those days.

We open our Champions League campaign against Dortmund. I have yet to meet these guys in any competitions yet.

We have made a couple of changes, however we have some tired legs in the side. “Oos” and “Hero” get a chance to impress.

We were really bad tonight. “Stipe” had a shocker, however we should have scored at least five goals aside from woeful finishing. There is much work to be done.
