Liverpool kept up their relentless quest to break the dominance of Chelsea and United. United are putting up a brave effort and still cling to the coat tails of the Reds and it appears that the title race could be almost decided when these two giants meet in December.
If Liverpool can maintain their momentum into Christmas, they may have too much of a lead on the trailing pack and could run away with the title.

Piffle. The talking heads love you when you are winning yet keep their daggers oiled and ready for when you slip up. That being said it feels like it is our title to lose.
We have been playing good football, and the goals have been coming. It is up to us to carry on and keep striving for perfection.
Blow by Blow
“Tver” has been gathering dust on the shelves and was not developing sufficiently. Time to recoup the funds and move him on.
Champions League – Group H – Match 4/6
On the road at Estadio Jose Alvalade taking on Sporting. A win here will see us consolodate top spot in Group H.
I am trying a few things in the midfield as I search out my best second tier players.
We let them score a late goal and let the win slip away. Still one point is better than none, especially when Basal also drew.
Champions League Scores
No upsets here as results when according to predictions. Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Porto were big winners.
Dinamo Zagreb continue to impress, while Manchester United inflicted a big defeat on Barcelona.
Premier League – Match 11/38
Recently promoted West Ham are currently sitting in fifth place. However they have only half the points that we have amassed. With United looking dominant again we can not afford to slip up.
“Dari” switches with “Ferran” at right back. The rest of the side picks itself, with “Trickles” displacing “Halo” for this match. Youngster “Diogo” has been impressing and has earned a trial.
A tidy showing where we were not overly troubled. The good news being that United slipped up and we find ourselves eight points clear.
Premier League – Match 12/38
Back from the international break sees us away at Newcastle. We have a good cap now, however I will not take the foot of the throat.
“Ferran” comes in at right back, and “Nicko” comes in on the bench.
Actually it was a shambles for the first 70 minutes when we couldn’t string passes together and I thought we were heading for a draw. Two late goals gave us the win and all three points.
Champions League – Group H – Match 5/6
Next up we face Schalke knowing that a win will see us qualify.
Plan ‘B’ for the Champions League as per normal. “Trickles” has all but cemented his place in my ‘B’ line-up.
Not pretty, but we did what we needed to do. The fact that we did this with a ‘B’ team is a good sign.
“Volkan” has been playing well and to lose him for three weeks is slightly annoying.
Premier League Results
Lyon bagging a point against United was the only real talking point here.
Arsenal collapsed to lose a game they were totally in control of. Other than that there were no real shocks.
Premier League – Match 13/38
Wigan have bounced back following relegation and are sitting in sixth place. That being said only ten points separate Chelsea in fourth and Nottingham Forest in eighteenth place.
“Halo” has secured the first choice position as box-to-box midfielder over “Trickles”.
We stepped up and showed our class with an emphatic win. “Slalom” bagged a fine hat-trick.
Another good series of results with only the draw to blot the copy book.
The first third of the season is in the books and it is a two horse race. An amazing where there is only eleven points from third to 18th place.
A big five games with the decider in the Champions League and the Capital One Cup quarter final.
