183: Relentless Liverpool

31 October 2028
Liverpool, England

Liverpool have taken the game to a whole new level having started the Premier League with ten wins in a row. Last years champions have won a whopping eight out of ten and trail the Reds by five points.

Mr BadDragon appears to have found a magic formula as his Reds side have been looking dominant and it appears that only Manchester United will be in a position to challenge. This is despite the fact that we are only a quarter of the way into this years campaign.

I don’t put much stock in that report. It is not a foregone conclusion by any stretch of the imagination. All we can do is turn up and keep winning.

If you look at our results we have scraped through to very narrow victories in games we should have drawn or even lost. We didn’t which makes our position look stronger than it is.

Blow by Blow

Champions League – Group H – Match 3/6

Sporting Lisabbon are the next team to step out onto the Anfield turf. I am looking to keep our run going and pick up a win.

We keep the rotation of players going as I attempt to keep the key players fresh.

We put in a comfortable 3-0 victory over Sporting, with “Hero” bagging a double.

Champions League Scores

Group E produced a couple of shock results as Dortmund went down to Dinamo Zagreb and Milan drew with Tel-Aviv. United were good enough to beat Barcelona.

Standard Liege took a point off Chelsea as the only real shock of this days matches.

Premier League – Match 9/38

Manchester City have a history of raining on my parade. I am hopeful that we can keep the run going.

“Halo” has earned the start, and “Nicko” is back in for the injured “C.K.” who is almost fit.

Well we were fairly convincing and picked up a good victory. We made it hard for ourselves in the first half but kicked on in the second.

New Signing

Has the potential to be a good first team player in a few years.

Capital One Cup – 4th Round

This game shouldn’t really be a contest, although I am taking nothing for granted.

“C.K.” comes back from injury, in a largely rotated side.

Well it took a while to get the goals, however it all worked out in the end.

Capital One Quarter Final Draw

So it’s not Arsenal, so we should advance. City will be tough opposition however.

Premier League – Match 10/38

Sheffield United are our next visitors. They have been playing rather well and will not be easy to beat.

“Halo” is once again preferred to “Trickles” who loses his place on the bench to “Volkan” as well.

We put in a good shift as we spanked Sheffield United 5-0. The margin was a touch flattering but we’ll take it.

Results Summary

Another outstanding run of games. We made things look a lot more comfortable than they were at times.

League Table

Ten from ten sees us on top. United have been equally dominant and it will be a real battle royale when we meet them in the league.

Champions League – Group H

Top of Group H again. Although we were made to work hard for the points we have gotten there.
