182: Liverpool secure early lead

16 October 2028
Liverpool, England

Another fine series of results sees Mr BadDragon’s unbeaten Liverpool side open a gap at the head of the Premier League race. Last seasons champions sit in second place five points back. BadDragon will be looking to his charges to carry on this run of good form and break the monoploy enjoyed by Chelsea and United.

I am making no secret of the fact that the title is the goal this season. I will sacrifice any other competition to win that trophy this season.

Blow by Blow

Premier League – Match 6/38

C07S04-086

Next up we face Chelsea in a game which will define the title race. A victory here will open a six point gap over them which will be telling this early in the campaign.

C07S04-087

A Narrow 4-3-3 versus our wide 4-3-3. “Hero” is not yet recovered from the injury so sits this game out. I have a strong bench with a shortage of strikers.

C07S04-088

Well we did it. We got the result we wanted. Although  we had to work much harder than I would have liked. In the end we did what was needed and got the points.

Champions League – Group H – Match 2/6

C07S04-090

The fixture against Basel could prove to be a challenge. The Champions League is second priority this season.

C07S04-091

Our squad needs to be rested with Arsenal coming up, so a much weakened side takes the park tonight.

C07S04-093

We were second best tonight, yet still managed to finish with a point. The good news is that most of the first team will be well rested for the Arsenal Match.

Champions League Results

C07S04-092

Schalke dealt to Sportin, while Dortmund put away Maccabi Tel-Aviv with ease.

C07S04-095

Juventus defeated Real Madrid, while Celtic and Chelsea shared a goalless draw.

Premier League – Match 7/38

C07S04-096

Next up are Arsenal. Another game we have to get maximum value from.

C07S04-097

Once again we bring out the first strength side. “Hero” is back to lead the line.

C07S04-098

I’m not sure why we struggle so much against Arsenal. They are not that great, but they seem to have our number. We were a little lucky to win today.

Injury Update

C07S04-100

“C.K.” was injured while I had a sub waiting to come on for him, and is our for a month. Disappointing to say the least.

Premier League – Match 8/38

C07S04-101

Next up is a tough match away at Nottingham Forest. We should be winning this game, however nothing is certain.

C07S04-102

“Nicko” is in for the injured “C.K.”, while “Halo”, “Hadders” and “Naert” are rotated in for this match.

C07S04-103

Not the best of victories, but a victory none the less.
