Undefeated Liverpool sit at the top of both Champions League Group H and the Premier League. The Reds fans are already beginning to feel like this might be their year.
The optimism is tempered by the 8-0 drubbing suffered against Chelsea and the way that United ran away with the title last season. It will be interesting to see how BadDragon attempts to rally the troops when the going gets tough.

They keep bringing up “that” game. Admittedly it was not our greatest moment. I have looked over it and can see no explanation as to why this happened. It seemed like all of my players collectively put in their worst game at exactly the same time.
But that is last season. Its a whole new year!
Blow by Blow
Slightly annoying to lose Goose just when the extra fixtures kick in.
Andy was on the fringe and I have better players coming through. Out the door he goes for a small profit.
Premier League – Match 4/38
We visit recently promoted Leicester City in the fourth premier league fixture. We need to keep the pressure on United and Chelsea so a win is mandatory.
Slight rotation of the squad here as we look ahead to Schalke midweek. The side should be good enough to get the result we need.
Again we dominated and again we were not clinical. The late goal gave me some nervous moments, however we held on for the win.
Champions League – Group H – Match 1/6
Our Champions League campaign opens against Schalke at home. Champions League is second this season behind the league.
We field our first choice side however. “C.K” has not been putting up the numbers I expect from him so far this season.
A pleasing victory, tempered only by us losing “Hero” late in the match. Still a the win is a good start in Group H.
Champions League Scores
The Porto win over Chelsea was the only surprise of the round.
No real surprises in this round. Anderlecht looked good bagging five goals against Galatasaray.
“Hero” is out for two weeks. That’s better than I expected so I’m relieved.
“Ni Cole” has signed for 4 years. I am happy with this as he is certainly a player for the future.
Premier League – Match 5/38
Reading are the next visitors to Anfield. They have started well and currently sit in sixth place.
The only chance sees “Naert” in for the injured “Halo”. I plan on a full rotation next match.
A very good performance. we limited them to 8 shots from long range, while we were devastating in front of goal.
Capital One Cup – 3rd Round
This game should be fairly one sided. I still want to win it, however the side will be 100% back-up with the exception of “The Greek”.
As promised, a full rotation. This should be interesting.
In the end the backup players pulled off a comfortable victory. “Volkan” was in good touch, as was “Goose” who was back from injury.
Capital One Cup Draw
A Merseyside derby in the Capital One Cup. This may be the only time we meet them as they were relegated last season.
The second perfect run of games. We have had a couple of close ones, however we have found the way to win these this year.
Five from five and in a position to open a gap up on Chelsea next match.
Champions League – Group H
Early days yet, however we are well placed.
Chelsea and Arsenal await us. If we can win both of these matches we will be well placed.
