180: First blood to Liverpool

30 August 2028
Liverpool, England

Liverpool boss Mr BadDragon  oversaw a good start to the season with a solid Community Shield victory over the old enemy Manchester United at Wembley.  The Reds looked in good form, and even though they were missing start striker “Hero”, always looked in control.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that Mr BadDragon can take the team one place better and finish first this season following consecutive second place finishes.

Just what the doctor ordered. A perfect start to the season sees us with another trophy in the the cabinet and sitting level with Chelsea at the top of the table.

Blow by Blow

Community Shield

This match will set the standard for the season.

“Hero” is still away on international duty, so “Naert” gets the not up top. The rest of the side picks itself.

This game was closer than it should have been. We left about three goals on the table and yet still picked up the win.

Premier League – Match 1/38

Watford have been one team which have given us real issues over the last couple of seasons.

One change sees “Hardy” on for “Slalom” who had a poor game against United. “Hadders” misses out on the bench to “Slalom”

Once again we were not clinical in front of goal and left a few goals on the table. Still we had a good win so all is not lost.

Injury Update

First injury of the campaign sees Lazar sidelined for three weeks.

Contract News

This deal sees “Tan” locked down for the next 5 years. He will be the equal top wage earner, however I will not be offering him a new deal ever!

Premier League – Match 2/38

Next up are West Bromwich Albion, who have been a mid table side. We can’t take things lightly, and we want to get a good head of steam up this season.

A few changes to the side. “Volkan” and “Halo” in in the midfield, while “Dari” is in at right back. “Slalom” is back in on the right wing. “Ingvar” starts in place of the injured “Lazar”

We are having trouble putting the chances away. “Naert” is struggling to find the net, and “Hero” has not played with the team yet this season. Still we have all three points in the bag.

Injury Update

“Cari” is out for three weeks with a twisted knee. Not ideal, but we will cope.

Champions League Draw

I can’t complain about this group.

Capital One Cup Draw

Premier League – Match 3/38

Next up are Swansea City. We need to win this match to keep the pressure on Chelsea who have started very well.

“Hero” returns to lead the line, and “Tan” comes back into the midfield. “Ni Cole” swaps in for “Ingvar” as he and “Stipe” make their first game of the season.

We made hard work of things initially, however a few tweaks later and we were looking in control. The late goal conceded was annoying however.

Results Summary

A much better start than we managed the last two years. West Brom pushed us a bit, but we got the win.

League Table

Three teams with perfect starts, and United just in behind. We just have to keep out levels up and not drop points where we turn wins into draws.

Champions League – Group H

Group H for the second year running.

Next Episode

We get underway in both the Champions League and the Capital One Cup.
