Mr BadDragon’s Liverpool side demolished a lacklustre Reading side 6-0 in the Capital One Cup final in a fantastic showing at Wembley. BadDragon’s relief was noticeable and although he was putting up a brave face, three seasons with out a trophy was starting to blot his copybook.

A win! I am happy with the result, however it has come at a cost as the league has slipped away from the chasing pack. Manchester United have pulled twelve points clear with 9 games to play. Still we are alive in the F.A. Cup and Champions League so our focus may shift a little going forward.
Blow by Blow
Champions League Scores
Arsenal show how dangerous they are with a 5-2 thumping of Anderlecht.
Barcelona thumped Napoli and Porto edged Chelsea.
Premier League – Match 28/38
Swansea City are a prelude to future fixtures. We must not be guilty of looking too far ahead, however we will be looking at playing our best side back to back against Sampdoria and Reading.
Just confirming ahead of time – we don’t like 3-5-2. Aside from Goose we have a distinctly second string side. Can we do the business?
A fine hat-trick to “Naert” saw us come out comfortable 3-1 winners. Their goal was a wonderful strike but it wasn’t enough.
Champions League – 1st Knockout Round – Leg 1
First match sees us taking on Samproria away. We know that a couple of goals will be key.
“Slalom” is not eligible for the Champions League being cup tied for this competition so “J-Lal” starts. Other than that the team is the top side with “Hero” returning up front.
Three away goals puts us in a great position. We looked in control for most of the game and deserved the victory.
Champions League Scores
Dortmund and Bayern pick up good wins.
Real Madrid pick up a good away goal.
Capital One Cup – Final
This is it. Our first chance of silverware as Liverpool Manager! We need to turn up and deliver a great performance.
The biggest game of the season for us. We need to turn up today and deliver a result for the fans.
“Slalom” is available for this game and takes his place on the right.
We opened a big can of whoop-ass on Reading. It took a while, but two quick goals were sufficient to settle the nerves. “Tan” bagged a hat-trick and deserved player of the match.
Hopefully this is the first trophy of many.
Always nice to keep the board happy.
Capital One Cup Report
We did it! Capital One Cup winners 2028 – Liverpool F.C.
Premier League – Match 29/38
Tottenham will be a tough test as they are battling for a European spot. It’s important that we keep our levels up.
“C.K.” and “J-Lal” are off on international duty so “Nicko” comes in. “Mo” is called up to the bench. “Volkan” and “Halo” are in the midfield.
We were suffering from a cup hangover and Tottenham was on hand to take full advantage. We went ahead but couldn’t hold onto it which was disappointing. To Tottenham’s credit they played well and out played us slightly.
Some good results, a thumping administered in the cup, and a disappointing loss.
We are still second, but only by virtue of goal difference.
Four big games. F.A. Cup v Arsenal, Merseyside derby, arch rival Manchester United and the second leg of the Champions League knock-out.
