171: Liverpool advance in F.A. Cup

13 February 2028
Liverpool, England

Liverpool are through to the F.A. Cup Quarter final following a convincing victory over lowly Scunthorpe United. Their prize? Another cup tie against Arsenal.

Mr BadDragon has had a torrid time against Arsenal having been booted out of the Capital One Cup and F.A. Cup in all four of their previous meetings. Does BadDragon have a solution to what appears to be a weakness in his management style.

We did what we needed to do and got the wins we require. If we keep winning then the competitions will sort themselves out!

Blow by Blow

Premier League – Match 25/38

We host Reading in a preview of the Capital One Cup final. This will be a good chance to look at their side.

Two changes with “Naert” and “Halo” replace “Hero” and “Trickles” for this match.

Well we did what we needed and got the win. They were fairly good and we shipped a couple of goals but on the whole it wasn’t too bad.

Premier League – Match 26/38

We have one mission. Keep winning games. Our next match sees us visiting relegation threatened Brighton & Hove Albion whom we should be able to overturn fairly comfortably.

We tend to struggle against this formation. “Stipe” and “Ferran” are both back from injury, and our back four is not as strong as it could be. I think we will have enough to get past Brighton though.

We put together a very solid performance in the first spell to score four goals. The second half meandered, however I’m not too unhappy.

Premier League – Match 27/38

Away to Nottingham Forest. They are currently 14th in the league and our mission is simple. We need results.

A slightly rotated side here as we give a few tired legs a spell.

On another day it could have been much different. In the end it took a couple of late goals to make the margin comfortable.

F.A. Cup – 5th Round

Games like this can be difficult for the bigger side. It is up to us to make sure that we don’t slip up here.

Facing a 4-5-1 is not a favourite. We are giving game time to a number of second team members today.

We did what we needed to do and wound up victorious. 3-0 up at half time saw Scunthorpe pull the whole side behind the ball and we couldn’t find a way through in the second spell.

F.A. Cup Draw

Guess who! Bloomin Arsenal in a cup match. Lose this one and that would be five on the bounce.

Results Summary

Four wins in a row is a good run. We are scoring goals again and more importantly the goals are being shard around.

League Table

Nine points to pull back in eleven games. I fear those two losses to Arsenal and Manchester City may hurt us.
