Liverpool turned in a commanding performance in the F.A.Cup third round, beating a hapless Oxford United 6-0. The win took the Reds through to the fourth round where they will face lowly Shrewsbury Town. Mr BadDragon will be looking for cup success this season as the league looks to well and truly be out of reach with Manchester United being almost four matches clear of the rest of the field.

We dropped back to back games in the league which has seen us slip down the table into third spot. I have made some top notch signings which will change the way we line up moving forward. I am very excited about the prospects for the remaining matches.
Blow by Blow
Premier League – Match 21/38
Arsenal have been our bogey team since I took over at Liverpool. We need to start finding ways to beat these guys on a regular basis.
We have some tired legs out there however we have to come at this game hard. “Vince” is in for the suspended “K.A.A.” while “Andy” gets a game at right-back.
Yet again Arsenal destroy us. We were fairly even in chances created, but our defending was suspect.
“Slalom” was surprisingly transfer listed and I snapped him up. He looks like he has potential and will fit in with my new philosophy.
“Oos” is another youngster who was unhappy with his current team and when negotiations for a new deal broke down, I swooped.
Capital One Cup – Semi Final – Leg 1
We need to bag a good win here. I am moving away from the 4-3-1-2 and the signing of “Salem” represents a start.
Close to a full strength side, with the exception of “Hero” who is having a weeks R&R. I am interested to seeing “Slalom” in action.
“Slalom made an immediate impact with three assists in his first start. Three goals for “Naert” and one from “Goose” allowed us to lodge a comprehensive win.
F.A. Cup – 3rd Round
This match should be a fairly easy match-up and one we should win comfortably. Its a chance to take a look at “Oos” and see how he stacks up.
The line-up has a definitely experimental aspect to it. It is usually not wise to change your approach this deep int a campaign however we needed to change things up.
This new tactical switch is working. We are looking more threatening and even though this was a lower league sie our B side looked good.
Just when “Volkan” was going to get some game time he goes and gets injured. Typical.
F.A. Cup 4th Round Draw
“Birdie” was never going to be a major player in the side and was available on a Bosman now. I figured to get something for him in January was better than nothing.
Premier League – Match 22/38
Next up we have Chelsea and following the last two poor league results this becomes a must win match. I am interested to see ho our new approach woks out for us.
“Slalom” gets to make his league debut against his former club. This is close to my first choice line-up that I could field.
Well that worked out really well. First thing I noted is that “Naert” is not an attacking midfielder. He gave the ball away too often. Secondly, I am not sure that “C.K.” is good enough for the team either.
Three wins out of four games is not a bad return.
In the hunt for Champions League again next season.
Leg two of the Capital One Cup Semi-final and the 4th Round of the F.A.Cup await.
