Mr BadDragon’s Liverpool side continues to perform very well and find themselves holding down second place in the league. The only cloud in the sky is that Manchester United are playing like a team from a different planet and are eight points clear with a game in hand, and look almost uncatchable.
Mr BadDragon can feel confident that he will finish in the Champions League places again this season.

Putting the recent results in perspective we hold onto second place, and are 11 points ahead of fifth placed Tottenham. The big concern is that Manchester United is eight points clear with a game in hand. Still the board want a top four finish, so I should be able to get them that.
Blow by Blow
Capital One Cup – Quarter Final
This game represents the furtherest we have ever advanced in this competition. I don’t want the run to come to an end just yet.
“Birigui” comes in for “Lazar” and “Volkan” for “Tan” due to fitness concerns. “C.K.” remains on the bench.
Again we are struggling to break down teams who come to defend. We are not opening the defence up like we need to so I may need to look at tactical tweaks to make this happen.
This is a case of adding injury to insult. Young “Stipe” was starting to come on really well at left back and our depth in this position is not that great.
Capital One Semi-final Draw
Our luck at avoiding Arsenal continues. We now get to meet them in the final assuming both teams get that far!
Champions League 1st Knock-out Round Draw
Sampdoria are our opponents in the first knock-out round. Not the worst draw we could have ended up with.
Premier League – Match 17/38
Next up is a visit to The Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion. I have decided that all we can do is win as many games as we canand let the chips fall where they will.
We start in the 4-3-1-2. I have moved some player roles about and asked my assistant for his advice and went with it.
Well my experimental tactics didn’t work how I wanted, so back to the drawing board a bit. Still we scored early so the pressure was not on us.
Premier League – Match 18/38
Next up we have Cardiff City who are languishing near the foot of the table.
They attack through the left wing, so “Birigui” is playing at right back for this match.
Well this was a good result. Their goal came from a long ball over the top whereas we worked some good passages of play for our goals.
“Lazar” is now our best centre back and is rewarded as such.
Premier League – Match 19/38
Sheffield United are up next, and although we should be comfortable favourites, I am taking nothing for granted.
“K.A.A.” is back on the bench following injury.
We did what we needed, however gave us some moments of concern at the end of the match. It’s in the book as a win which is all that matters!
Premier League – Match 20/38
Manchester City marks the beginning of phase two. We beat them 4-1 at home last time.
“K.A.A” is back in the starting line-up today. We have some tired bodies but I am confident that they will be in the same state.
A bad decision with a dubious red card cost us the match today. They were playing well, but the red card was the killer blow. Sadly we could hold on and went down 3-2.
Vindicated? I think so, although it is slim consolation.
Three wins out of four matches isn’t too bad. The last gasp loss to Manchester City is a kick in the teath however.
Second place at the end of the year. I’ll take that.
Arsenal and Chelsea up next, along with Brighton and Oxford in the cups between them.
