Liverpool have put in an impressive series of results to once again be top of their Champions League group. Mr BadDragon was obviously delighted with the performance and it is starting to look like when not if they will win a title of some kind.

I am happy with where the team is at the moment. We continue to battle and I am reasonable content that we will get that elusive win this season. The difficult part is that Manchester United and Chelsea have been taking turns winning the League and it will take a supreme effort to beat both of them in one season.
Blow by Blow
Champions League – Group H – Match 2/6
We pop over to Eindhoven for a little R & R as guests of PSV.
“Dari” and “Birdie” come in for the injured “Flavio” and suspended “Ferran”, while “Halo” is preferred over “J-Lal”.
They came at us hard and in the early stages it was all PSV. We went behind and we had to dig deep. In the end a pair of goals by “Hero” was sufficient to give us the win.
Champions League Scores
Porto’s 2-1 win over United stands out as the result of the round. Hibs taking a point away at Dortmund was also noteworthy.
Basel took a point of the Gunners, and Chelsea took down Barcelona in a close match.
Premier League – Match 7/38
Brighton & Hove Albion are languishing in the relegation zone and should not offer all that much resistance to a side of our calibre. We will take nothing for granted, although I am expecting a good win today.
“Flavio” is not back to full fitness so “Stipe” gets to start. “Dari” is preferred over “Ferran” again, while “Tver” and “Brunet” get starts up top. “Vince” comes in to give “Birigui” a break.
Well we controlled the game without ever looking troubled. Our finishing was a little lax and we once again let too many chances go begging.
Trolling through Europe I found this young lad. May have some potential.
“J-Lal” picked up a knock which will keep him out for a few weeks. Annoying but not end of the world.
Premier League – Match 8/38
Swansea City are sitting in second spot in the table and are fancied by the bookies. It would be nice to upset their apple cart!
“Volkan” is back from injury and makes the bench for the first time this season. I go with the 4-3-1-2 as I am expecting a tough battle.
“Hero” and “Naert” were in good form. “Hero” putting six shots on target and missed a couple of sitters. Still we got the win which secures second place for the time being.
“Ferran” picks up a torn calf muscle which means that “Dari” will have to be number one for the foreseeable future.
Champions League – Group H – Match 3/6
Our next match is against reigning Champions PSG who come to Anfield needing to win.
“Goose” comes in for “C.K.” with “Halo” dropping into the DLP role for the match. “Dari” replaces the injured “Ferran” while “Burnet” is given a start ahead of “Naert”.
A hat-trick for “Trickles” proved decisive in a tight match. We were comfortably leading with 15 minutes to go only to see PSG come roaring back and level things up. In the end a “Trickles” free kick special was decisive as we ran out 3-2 winners on the night.
Champions League Results
Nothing of note from these results with perhaps the form of Hibernian who upset hapless Valencia.
The talking point in this round of fixtures is the defeat of Barcelona by Legia Warschau.
Four wins out of four sees us pushing on nicely in both the Champions League and Premier League.
Manchester United have opened a commanding six point lead on the rest of the field and look in menacing form. We are sitting second and are ready to pounce should they slip up.
Champions League Group H
Top of the group again and knowing that we can lock in qualification with a victory in Paris next match.
