Liverpool, England
Liverpool have had a rough couple of weeks, losing back to back games against first Newcastle United and then Real Madrid. They have also thrown away a win against lowly Fulham.
Manager Mr BadDragon has come under fire for this string of poor performances and also the manner of them, with supporters being unhappy with how he has been setting his team up for the games.

So we slipped up. We are still ahead of where we were this time last season. We are also through to the knock-out stages of the Champions League. Oferall there is much to be positive about.
Blow by Blow
Premier League – Match 14/38
Swansea have not had the best start to the season. We are comfortable favourites and I expect that we should take all three points.
We have some limitations due to a fixture clash with players getting minutes for fitness purposes.
We got the result, although we made it hard for ourselves. “Naert” was immense today and thoroughly deserved his POM award.
Premier League – Match 15/38
The next visitors to Anfield are Newcastle United who are having a fantastic season. Currently sitting in fourth place they as snapping at our heals.
“Tan” is still not yet fully fit and so is consigned to the bench. The rest of the team picks itself with “Lazar” being the preferred partner for “Birigui”
We were dominated in the first half and “Birigui” was at fault as he failed to deal with a cross. We had our chances but didn’t take them.
Champions League – Group E – Match 6/6
There is nothing in the game for either side here. Bragging rights maybe?
I have fielded a second XI side here in a new formation. Oh well, lets see what happens.
The gulf between your first XI and the second XI is noticeable. In the end we did well to limit the score to 2-0.
Champions League Scores
Nothing exceptional to report with all of the big names winning.
The one result which stands out is the credible 0-0 draw between Fenerbahce and current champions Chelsea.
Champions League – Group Stage Final Standings
This is how the groups panned out. Porto underperformed and their fans will not be happy.
Premier League – Match 16/38
A visit to Craven Cottage is the next treat in store for us as we take on Fulham in a game we should be winning.
A much stronger side lines up for this game. With the exception of “Halo”, “Den” and “Nika Kika” this is my best side at the moment.
We left two points on the table tonight as we failed to take the chances we created. Fulham played well enough, however we should have scored at least three goals.
Results Summary
A real mixed bag for us. We have done OK, but there are still some pieces missing from a champion side.
League Table
This time last season we were mid table looking up. It’s nicer to be in third place looking down!
Next Episode
I would like to win three of these next four fixtures. If we do that we should still be sitting in striking distance at Christmas.
