Liverpool have surprised many after coming through the group of death and wrapping it up with a game in hand. The Reds Manager, Mr BadDragon, has shown a willingness to change things up this season and move away from a one formation style to something a little more bold.
The results on the pitch have certainly vindicated this approach.

Well I am pleased with the way things are going. We are only one third of the way into the campaign and there is plenty of football to come. We have got back to the top four well before Christmas this season and I am fairly positive that we will be good enough to retain our European participation for next season.
Blow by Blow
Premier League – Match 11/38
Wigan are up next. They are struggling in the league so this is a match we have to be winning.
I have slightly rotated the side at the back. Not sure if this is a wholey wise decision, but I have to try.
Well we did what was needed and bagged all three points. I switched to a 4-2-3-1 formation after 20 minutes and that immediately brought results.
Premier League – Match 12/38
Sheffield United are up next. They are sitting in mid table and are another team that we need to get maximum points against.
We start out in a 4-2-3-1 as we look to change things up. I asked my assistant to suggest his preferred team and this is what he came back with.
Well we did what we needed to do and bagged the points. I was worried when “Kurl” scored an equaliser but we managed to get it together and bag the win.
Champions League – Group E – Match 5/6
A point needed for top spot. So we turned up to the match feeling confident. I had a plan in mind.
And then somehow managed to turn in the wrong team sheet! So this is what I am stuck with.
Well we did what we needed and for the most part looked good doing it. I think that we have a core of a great team forming and the results are starting to reflect this.
Champions League Results
Anderlecht win again while Fenerbahce finally lose a game.
Dynamo Kyiv’s victory over Juventus was the talking point of the round.
Premier League – Match 13/38
Final match of the episode sees us host Norwich City. They sit just below us after having a strong start to the season.
Switching things around a little, and sticking with the 4-2-3-1 formation. “Tan” is back on the bench for the first time this season.
Well we got the result we wanted, but didn’t look the best doing so. Still we have got back into the top four places which is better than last season.
Four from four is a top return for us. Top of the champions league group and into the top four in the league
Sitting in third place after the first third of the season. No complaints here.
Swansea, Newcastle, and Fulham in the league. Real Madrid in the group stage which is somewhat meaningless.
