Liverpool’s dream of F.A. Cup success were dashed by a determined Arsenal side. Mr BadDragon was clearly disappointed that his side will not be contesting any silverware this season.
Sources close to the club have let it be known in recent weeks that the management of the club are happy with the way that BadDragon has gotten the team playing and that there are signs the club is on the up.

I am a little disappointed by the F.A. Cup result, however it is not the end of the world. Considering that my job was on the line and I was one poor result away from the sack I am very please to still be in work! The rebuilding is under way and the foundation has been laid for a very good side.
Blow by Blow
F.A. Cup – 5th Round
Next match sees us up against Fulham for a place in the F.A. Cup 6th round.
We field a side at close to full strength for this match. The only rotated players are “Andy”, “Tiago” and “Mugsy” getting some game time.
In the end it was a fairly convincing victory. 3-0 up after 13 minutes allowed us to coast over the finish line.
“Naert” returns to full training at the business end of the season.
F.A. Cup Draw
It looks like it could be a humdinger of quarter final series.
In order for us to progress further we need to beat Arsenal at the Emirates. This will not be an easy task.
Premier League – Match 28/38
Last time out against Reading they triumphed in a tight affair. It is definitely time to turn the tables and take all three points.
The usual back four are back for this game, while “Goose” is preferred to “Den”. “Naert” is on the bench for the first time in six months.
Full credit to Reading as they wouldn’t lie down. In the end an own goal separated the two sides and saw us take all three points.
Premier League – Match 29/38
Next up sees us host Crystal Palace who are still a couple of wins from safety. I don’t begrudge them a win, but not at Anfield!
No changes from the side who played Reading. I am hoping for a slightly more convincing performance.
Well I got the performance I wanted. When “Ostariz” was forced off with a knock, “Naert” came on and deftly slotted home the first chance that came his way. In the end it was a comfortable 4-1 victory.
“Ferran” is suspended for two matches after collecting 10 yellow cards. Not ideal but it is what it is.
F.A. Cup – 6th Round
Next up we have a visit to the Emirates to play Arsenal in the F.A. Cup Quarter Final. This will be a hum dinger of a match.
One change from the last match with “Nika Kika” coming in for the suspended “Ferran”. “Bingui” is pushed wide to fullback.
We missed too many chances where we could have scored. They got ahead through a lapse in concentration and we were forced to chase the game. We were caught on the break at the end which made the result look worse.
There are a number of worried supporters as no fewer than seven teams vie for the remaining relegation spot. Cardiff Cityon 22 points and Leicester City on 19 look certain to go down.
Premier League – Match 30/38
Sheffield United are in 12th place – two points above relegation. They will be coming out all guns blazing. We need to keep winning as we need about four wins to secure European competition for next season.
Three changes for this match, as “Andy” is in for the suspended “Ferran” while “Den” is in for “Goose” and “Naert” partners “Loz”
We battered them but looked bereft of ideas to find a way through. I need to rethink our tactical approach as it is not working as it stands. I think teams are sitting back against us and we have not the passing accuracy to find a way through.
Well we picked up another valuable seven points in the league, and despite going out in the F.A. Cup Quarter Final it has to be classed as a success.
Eight games to play and we are six points plus a game in hand ahead of 6th placed Watford. I would like to believe we have a top five finish locked in.
Manchester City and Arsenal are our first two matches. If we can win both of those we would probably lock up third place.
