Welcome to Wembley as we prepare to bring you the 2025 Champions League Final. This promises to be a match of firsts for Mr BadDragon and Anderlecht, as neither he nor his club have ever got this far in the competition.
Today’s match is a battle between two sides led by managers managers who have taken completely different paths to get here today.
Mr BadDragon at 36 is one of the youngest managers to ever contest the title, and will cretainly be the youngest to win it should his charges prove successful.
He is no stranger to big matches, having lifted both the African Champions League with Jomo Cosmos in 2018 and the Asian Champions League with the Newcastle United Jets in 2021.
His career has been that of a perennial jet-setter having managed in no fewer than six countries over the past eleven seasons.
Luciano Silveira, a 62 year old Manager from Portugal, has done it all with Chelsea, winning the Champions League in 2014.
His side has also won the Barclays Premier League four times in eleven seasons. He has also collected the World Club Cup, three capital one cups, and three Community Shield’s.
He has laso managed Inter Milan, and the last two opponents that Anderlecht have faced – Real Madrid and Porto.

The Champions League Final! The pinnacle of European Football, and the dream of players and managers around the world. I would be lying if I said that this game doesn’t matter, because it does!
We are underdogs here. A lot of people think that this is a game too far. It is up to us to show that it is not.
The Lead Up
Anderlecht have played Chelsea six times and have never beaten them. I am sure that complacency will not enter into this match on their part. We are due a win, and I believe that this team is at least as good as their side.
The Chelsea side gets most of their assists through the flanks. Given that they play a 4-2-3-1 that makes sense.
It is very even stats wise through the side with our team being slightly better technically.
Defensively they are very solid so finding an opening will be a challenge.
We have an edge in some areas in the midfield, while they are better in other areas.
I feel we shade them in attack. The key is can we get enough ball through to our front men to make a difference.
My Grand Plan
From the numbers they are more vulnerable early on. They seem to start slowly and then tend to finish strongly. With this in mind I will look to take the game to them and try and get a lead and put them under pressure. I am leaning towards starting “Baby Face” in place of “Westie” in behind “Benny Jets and “Mookee”
So here we are. Almost ready to take the field in the final.
“Benny Jets” is certainly the key player for us. If he can bang in a couple of goals I think we can win it.
I tried to be friendly with the dude…
… but he was a pompous ass!
In the end I went with the “Baby Face” at Treqartista. They line up as expected.
The odds are tight, and it could go either way. Which ever way it does, I think it will be one hell of a match.
It was a match of what might have been. We had our chances early on and failed to take them. We could so easily have been 2 nil up but weren’t. Playing “Baby Face” in that role was was a mistake. Lesson learned.
Then the game changed for the worst when “Andre” got sent off for a horror tackle. We got into the half on level terms, only to go behind just on the hour mark. Being a man down and having to play catch-up proved to be too difficult and in the end we succumbed 2-0 .
I’m gutted by the result. I really think we could have done it and come out on top.
It doesn’t help that Silveira is a smug asrehole! Next time I want to destroy him!!!
I will be back with my end of season wrap and plans for the future! First off I need to go have a drink!
