Anderlecht, Belgium
Defending champions Porto looked like Christians in the Colosseum as the hungry lions of Anderlecht circled menacingly. In the end it was more a slaughter than a game, and Anderlecht have all but guaranteed they will advance to the semi finals.
What made the performance more impressive was the rampant form of “Mookee” who set a new record of five goals in a game.

What can I say but wow! We have exceeded expectations and are well placed to get through to the semi final.
Blow by Blow
Injury Update
Good news as “Baby Face” is back in training.
Youth Intake
The youth intake took place today, and there was a couple of players worth of a second glance.
“Moha” is the pick of the litter and certainly worthy of a long hard look.
Team News
“Focker” will only be a fringe player moving forward, however I want my under 21 side to be full of good players which is why he has been given a new deal.
“Nuts” is another player who offers something moving forward.
Jupiler Pro League – Champions Group – Match 1/10
First game up is against Zulte Waregem who we should be able to dominate well.
We field a first team for this match with a view to a full rotation before the Champions League match.
A comfortable win for us which gets us started on the quest for glory.
Jupiler Pro League – Champions Group – Match 2/10
Club Brugge will be facing a much weaker side from us, which may offer them a chance to win.
A full rotation, plus some youth players on the bench. This will test our depth.
It was a difficult match, however we did what we needed to do to get the result.
New Signings
Time to splash some cash to augment an average youth intake. It’s a case of throwing darts at a board and seeing what sticks. I plan on going into more details when they join in July.
A ball playing central midfielder.
“Giant” is a 5′ 4″ right back who has potential to be a solid first team player.
“Blast” will not be joining us for a year, however he has potential to develop nicely.
“Jess” is a top prospect and one who could develop into a star centerback. I expect to see him as a first team player by 2027/28.
“Mikael” is another player who could be a solid squad player moving forward.
Another squad player midfielder who may or may not develop. Worth a punt.
Champions League – Quarter Final – Leg 1
The big game draws near. The bookies like Porto, however the pundits think we have a chance.
I have made one huge change for this match. “Baby Face” has been picked as a Trequartista playing in behind “Benny Jets” and “Mookee”. This is a big gamble, but one worth taking.
Well this was a surprise. We were 3-0 up after 11 minutes, and from there the game was never in doubt. We had 7 shots on target for 7 goals, and I can’t see them getting back into the tie from here.
Champions League Scores
Chelsea got that vital away goal against Manchester City. Real Madrid were too strong for Dortmund.
PSG did what they needed against Lazio, while we were dominant.
Injury Update
“Baby Face” picked up a knock and didn’t get to make that big an impact. Still only out for a week so not too bad.
Records Broken
Breaking a record which has only stood for 18 months.
I think this record may stand for longer! It will take a mammoth effort to better this result.
Jupiler Pro League – Champions Group – Match 3/10
Back to the league following the midweek game, time for a full rotation I think.
As promised a full rotation. Three youngsters in the form of “Vert”, “Nuts” and “Jarhead” get their chance.
Well that was a good result. Nothing flash, however we were able to send out our second team and pick up a good win.
Results Summary
What can you say other than impressive. Four games, four wins, twelve goals scored and none conceded.
League Table
Sitting pretty in the league, four wins away from the title. Three wins if we beat Genk.
Next Episode
We have one foot in the semi final and almost hands on the cup. Next month promises to be a good one.
