Mr BadDragon’s Anderlecht has secured top spot in the Jupiler Pro League with six matches to play. The Paars-wit have amassed a mammoth 23 wins out of 24 matches and remain undefeated in the League.
So dominant have they been this season that their only defeat came at the hands of Charleroi in the Confidis Cup 7th round back in November. There are questions being asked as to whether the lack of competition in the domestic league will count against them when they come to face Bayern in the Champions League knock-out stages.

Well we have navigated January with no losses, however I am not happy with the fact that we have started conceding at least one soft goal a game. This is a worrying turn of events and we will have to tighten up when the Champions league resumes.
Blow by Blow
“Campos” picks up a niggle however this will only keep him out for a week or so.
“King Louis” has been moved on. He was never going to be anything other than a backup to the backups and so it was time for him to leave.
Another niggle injury to another key player. I am sure this is designed to piss me off, cos it is working.
Well I blew this one. somehow I neglected to put the one year extension in the contract. Net result is 1.2 million wasted.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 21/30
Lommel have not been too much trouble in the past. I plan on making sure that this pattern continues.
“Benny Jets” is off on international duty for the next six weeks, and may just make it back for the Bayern game. “Ziz” and “S.V.H.” get starts due to injury.
Another game, another win. Goals shared around pretty well, but another clean sheet blown.
“Moose” was out of contract at the end of the season, and Nurnberg came in for him. Not much I could do about this really.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 22/30
Mons is the next on the list. No complacency, no errors!
Once again we send out the number one line-up.
We were commanding in the game, yet struggled to finish chances. In the end it took a fine long range strike by “Doctor” to make the game safe.
Another niggle. Seems to be the season for them.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 23/30
New boys Brussels are up next. They have been finding life in the top division a battle and only have 7 points from 22 games.
Trying something a little different today. The team basically picks itself.
Well. That was interesting. We went 3-0 up, only to concede 2 quick goals after the half. I switched back to our other formation, tweaked a couple of players and we banged in four more goals. The concern is we are conceding too many soft goals.
Nice to be part of a new record with a win instead of a loss.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 24/30
Gent are on the cusp of a top six finish, while a win would guarantee us top position in the first round.
We stick with the same line-up as last game.
An awful performance by some key players and a lucky late goal saw us scrape home to a 2-1 victory. We need to tighten up if we are going to get past Bayern.
Another undefeated set of games which saw us bang in a healthy number of goals.
22 points clear with six games left to play. I am hopeful that we will have a healthy lead when it comes time to play the championship round.
We have those upstarts Charleroi immediately before we take on Bayern in the Allianz-Arena.
