Anderlecht get under way in the champions league with a good win against Galatasaray. Their league form has been rather patchy as Mr BadDragon seems to be rotating his starting line-up in the league matches more than usual. This has resulted in some patchy performances as the team is struggling to gel.
Despite his assurances to the contrary, the squad depth seems to be somewhat less than he first thought, and I can see the team dropping some points if they are not careful.

We have continued our good run of form, despite looking a bit disjointed in some games. “Benny Jets” and “Mookee” have developed a fantastic partnership having scored 15 goals between them in only six starts each. Although it is early days I am happy at how the team is performing.
Blow by Blow
Champions League Draw
We come into the draw as a second seeded side and draw mighty Juventus and Galatasaray in our group.
This may come as a bit of a surprise, given that “Lembi” has been my number 3 striker for the past two seasons. “Baby Face” and “Xu” have both been making huge strides and “Lembi” has slipped down the pecking order.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 5/30
The two unbeaten sides go head to head today. Club Brugge have not been a great threat of late and I feel confident we can do well.
Pretty close to a full strength team with the only players missing are the centre backs. “James” is on the the bench while “Cup” is not yet back in training.
Not a vintage performance as we quickly went 2-0 up and then coasted through the game. Still we took all three points on offer.
“Goolie” was fast becoming superfluous to the first team and to get 7.25 million for the lad. Now the batte is to replace him! I have two candidates.
“Gimosh” is a talented youngster who we picked up for 1.2 million last season.
“Jarhead” played two games for us last season. He is more of an advanced playmaker than a central midfielder.
The loss of “Goose” is a blow. He was starting to kick on really well and was scheduled to be getting quite a bit of game times as part of my non Champions League line-up.
Seems to be as soon as I am interested in a player for the first team he gets hurt.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 6/30
Next up we have Lierse who are in the bottom half of the competition.
We field a heavily rotated side for this match with only “Trickles”, “Cup”, and “The Greek” likely to back up for the game against Galatasaray.
Well that didn’t work out ho I planned. We put in a poor performance and were lucky to come away with a draw.
Champions League – Group A – Match 1/6
Our opening Champions League match sees us host Turkish Giant Galatasaray in what should be a good test of our mettle.
A full strength first team with “Rommel” having replaced “James” in the pecking order. “Karioke” makes the bench.
A game of two halves. We scored four goals in the first. They scored two in the second. I helped by subbing the wrong player.
Champions League Results
Real Madrid struggled in their match. Dynamo Kyiv have continued to look good this season.
Group E looks like being a group of death with Chelsea and Bayern Munchen locking horns. A.C. Milan dealt to Manchester City in Group F.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 7/30
Next match sees us lock horns with Mons, who have been performing well these past few years.
“Doctor” replaces “Alex”, and “Flavio” replaces “Andre”. The front two rotate as they will for most of the season. “Menace” gets his firts start for the season in goal.
We turned in another average performance, and it was only a free kick from “Trickles” which allowed us to take all three points.
However this was my 300th victory as a manager so it was a nice result.
Another fur games unbeaten, although we did concede a few more goals.
Sitting on top of the pile, however Genk are breathing down our neck.
Come back next time to see us open our Cofidis Cup campaign, along with the second Champions League game.
