There is an air of inevitability surrounding Anderlecht this season. They are banging in the goals against all and sundry while appearing to have erected a brick wall in their goal.
At this stage the signs are ominous, and although it is still early, there doesn’t appear to any team stepping up to challenge their progress.

Now lets not get ahead of ourselves. We are looking good, however any number of factors could derail the campaign. We just have to keep focussing on the next game.
So read on and see how we got on this month.
Blow by Blow
Jupiler Pro League – Match 7/30
The Yellow Red boys are sitting comfortably bottom and should not offer much of a struggle.
Fully rotated side with “Razor” being called up due to the injury to “Andre”. “Menace” gets a start in goal.
“Razor had a début to forget having been sent off early in the second half.
Cofidis Cup – 6th Round
We are favourites here, so there will be some rotation. I do want to win this though so nothing too radical.
We field a mixed side here with a mostly first team side while giving some fringe players a start.
In the end we put together a comfortable win. A further two goals to “Benny Jets” and one each to “Moose” and “Xu”.
First improvements since I have been at the club.
Young “Xu” has been playing well and has the advantage of being home grown despite not being a Belgium native.
“Westie” is a youth team player who has developed nicely and now finds himself a first team regular.
Next we lock “C.K.” to another four years.
Finally we lock up “Goolie” as a long term rotation option.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 8/30
Mons are sitting in fourth place and will offer a tough test of how we are tracking this season.
My first team is evolving and the player on the move is “Goose”, who I am looking as a potential number two AM (C). He will get some minutes in that position today. “Andre” has a week more before being back from his knock, so “Flavio” is in at left back.
A really odd game. Two own goals in the first half before “Mookee” got a tap in following a third own goal chance hit the post, and then scored off a keeper mistake.
Lembi picked up a knock that will keep him out for a couple of weeks.
Cofidis Cup Draw
While we are taking nothing for granted, Mechelen is a fairly easy draw for us.
Under 21’s Coach Hired
Van der Meulen is the new Under 21’s skills coach.
Dessena joins as a defensive coach.
Champions League – Group D – Match 2/6
Game two sees us play the other surprise winner of the first match, Dynamo Kyiv.
I field close to my first choice team, with only two injury enforced changes.
We put in a reasonable performance, however they defended well and it took a moment of brilliance for us to score the winner.
Champions League Results
Milan topped Chelsea, while Bayern was held to a surprising draw in Greece.
Dortmund also dropped points, while Real Madrid and Benfica drew.
Another good series of results, ten goals for and none against.
Top of the table however we have some serious games coming up.
Charleroi are next up and should offer a real challenge, then we have Real Madrid.
