Defending champions Anderlecht have gotten off to a flyer this season and have yet to concede a goal. Last seasons topscorer, “Benny Jets” ahas picked up where he finished last year bagging eight of the ten goals scored.
The concern for Anderlecht fans must be can the youngster remain healthy? From what we have seen the side lacks a viable second offensive weapon, with “Mookee” not really delivering on his promise.

I am happy with how we are tracking. I have eyes firmly on the league, yet would gladly sacrifice a few games to do well in the cup this season. Hopefully it wont come to that, and we can go deep in all completions.
Due to our win in the league last season we get to go straight into the Champions League group stage which has allowed us a easier start to the season.
Blow by Blow
Supercup van Belgie
The season opener is the Supercup van Belgie, which we won last season against Standard Liege.
We come out with my first choice lineup. 16 year old “Messi” has been selected as my second choice keeper for the season as my other candidates are all out on loan. “Xu” and “Goose” will be revised from C to B status in the near future.
It took “Benny Jets” 20 seconds to open his account for the season. I never expected that that would be the only goal of the game! We were awful in front of goal and it was not a pleasing performance.
I told them exactly what I thought of their efforts. They agreed with my assessment!
It’s hard to top a 20 second goal, isn’t it. That means that for the other 89 minutes and 40 seconds nothing happened!
Trophy number 14 for the club is an achievement to savour.
“Campos” did himself a wee mischief and will miss the season opener.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 1/30
The new season is about to get under way. I am looking for a much better performance today.
Only one change sees “S.V.H.” start in place of the injured “Campos”.
A much better performance this week. 3-0 up after 20 minutes we went on to win 4-0. “Benny Jets” bagged a hat-trick.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 2/30
Next up sees us play our first home game as we host Club Brugge in a match we are tipped to win.
“Campos” returns from his injury break, and “Mookee” is back fit as well so takes his place on the bench.
Another two good “Benny Jets” goals saw us get ahead and hold on for all three points.
“Ox” played one game for the club in five years. He was never going to be good enough to make the first team.
Jupiler Pro League – Match 3/30
Next match sees us head to Stayen Arena to face mid-table Sint-Truiden in what should be relatively easy victory for the visitors.
Five changes from the last start see “Mookee”, “Munster”, “Doctor”, “Alberto” and “Flavio” make their first starts for the season.
“Benny Jets” put in another very good performance and bagged two more goals. “Munster” got on the scoresheet with a screamer of a free kick.
Four wins from four games and a record Supercup win to boot.
Sitting top of the league after 10% of the games. Early days however and there is plenty of football to come.
Next episode sees us open our champions league campaign. The draw has yet to be done, so we have no idea of who we will face.
