15 July 2015,
The half-way point of the season has been reached and we are still sitting in first place. That in itself is impressive. However what makes it even better is that we were in 9th place at the end of last season. A real rags to riches story.
We have been rolling along nicely with no real issues. Injuries have had an impact, however since the first run of six in six games things have settled down.
At the back, Leon Schneider has been very effective and looks like a good addition. Matias Beltran has also performed well. Maciej Bulka has been not living up to his billing so far and needs to work on his consistency.
No change to the top performer list since last time. Striker Kim Seung-Won has only scored three goals this season, but is our best assist man. He is also second in the league for key passes. The captain Na Young-Woong is still top scorer, while Cho Myung-Won has the most player of the match awards.
First thing to note is the change in the way I am reporting the results. The goal highlights are cute but a lot of work. So moving forward I will be going back to a summary of events.
In the league we have a record of 4-2-1 in the seven games played. Of which the Suwon game was really disappointing. The Gangwon result was very pleasing even if it was fortunate.
Losing to Jeju in the cup was unlucky. In the end they took their chance and we didn’t.
Presented here for completeness, however with only nine other teams and playing each team five times in the season the upcoming fixtures have little relevance. Next update I may list out my record against each team which should make interesting reading.
Let’s look at the board, Miss Ford! Seven points clear of the chasing pack. And what a pack. Any one of four teams could rise up to challenge us. Luckily they keep beating the snot out of each other and allowing us to pull away.
