5 April 2015
Back again slightly earlier than scheduled. What an amazing league we have here. Six games in and last years 9th and 10th placed teams are 1st and 2nd!
Anyang seems to be destined to sit in 8th place, don’t they? Finally recently relegated Incheon look like they are imploding. Still it is early days and anything can and will happen.
Next up we have Daejeon who were a tough team last season and look like they have the goods. The cup match should be a win, unless we take our eye off the ball and bottom placed Suwon FC round out the first rotation. If we can keep up the pace I am feeling like we could have a good season this time around.
One day out from the opening day I lost first choice right back Ryoo Jin-Oh and first choice defensive midfielder Song Jun-Min for 3 months. Gutted! Things were not helped by losing a key midfield player Ko Joon-Young for a month following a robust tackle.
To add insult to injury (or is it injury to injury?) star central defender Maciej Bulka suffered a thigh strain and is out for 3-4 weeks. Next match up we lose Lee Cheol-Joo for a month, making that five injuries in five games. At this rate we will have no players left. And would you believe the next game Kim Jin-Woo is out for three months with a hip injury.

Winger Lee Cheol-Joo gave Goyang Hi FC the lead with an accurate finish in the 11th minute. FC Anyang were nearly gifted a goal on 70 minutes through Matías Beltrán’s lapse in concentration but they failed to capitalise on the opportunity presented to them.
Lee Cheol-Joo completed the scoring for Goyang Hi FC with a placed shot on 77 minutes.
Daegu FC 0-3 Goyang Hi FC
Daegu’s match against Goyang Hi FC will have been a moment Daegu’s Jang Kyung-Ho will want to forget as he suffered defeat at the hands of his former club.
Ko Joon-Young had no trouble in scoring from the spot when Kim Chang-Duk conceded a penalty. Ko Joon-Young added his 2nd goal of the game with a nice effort from 11 metres on 52 minutes.
Midfielder Kim Jin-Soo then summed up his team’s performance by nearly gifting Goyang Hi FC another goal on 70 minutes. Striker Kim Seung-Won completed the rout with a cheeky lob from all of 21 metres on 70 minutes.
It was a sensational effort from Kim Seung-Won and captured the attention of fans and pundits alike.
Chungju Hummel FC 1-0 Goyang Hi FC
Chungju Hummel’s match against Goyang Hi FC will have been a meaningful one for Chungju Hummel’s Im Jae-Hyung as he was able to celebrate victory over his former club.
Midfielder Cho Myung-Won had a chance to score from the penalty spot for Goyang Hi FC on the 20 minute mark but missed his spot-kick. Chungju Hummel captain Han Yong-Joon gave Chungju Hummel FC the lead with a well timed finish from close range in the 23rd minute.
Goyang Hi FC covered a lot of ground but also conceded far too many fouls, meaning their effort was often for nothing.
Goyang Hi FC 2-0 Bucheon Football Club 1995
Goyang Hi FC had their midfield to thank on a breezy evening at Goyang Stadium as they showed their strikers how to finish.
Things turned sour for Bucheon Football Club 1995 when defensive midfielder Son Sang-Chul earned himself an early bath for persistent fouling on 65 minutes. Goyang Hi FC finally took the lead when Goyang Hi FC captain Na Young-Woong scored a well timed close range finish on 69 minutes.
Striker Lee Cheol-Joo finally rounded off their victory on 81 minutes with a poorly struck effort from inside the penalty area.
Gangwon FC 2-0 Goyang Hi FC
One of the competition’s worst defences put in one of their best performances of the season as Gangwon defeated Goyang Hi FC on a fine spring afternoon at Gangnueng Stadium.
Winger Kwon Jeong-Min gave Gangwon FC the lead with a deftly executed finish from long range which found its target via the post in the 47th minute. Goyang Hi FC were nearly gifted a goal on 51 minutes through Kim Jin-Ho’s lapse in concentration but they failed to capitalise on the opportunity presented to them.
An error from Goyang Hi FC’s Kwon Jin-Soo allowed Kwon Jeong-Min to score a finish executed with aplomb.
Goyang Hi FC 4-0 Incheon United
A potentially serious injury suffered by Goyang Hi FC’s Kim Jin-Woo overshadowed events on what was a breezy evening at Goyang Stadium.
